DESCRIPTION:Traditionally held on the third Saturday in October\, the Senoia Optimist Club’s BBQ offerspulled pork and the McKnight family’s renowned Brunswick stew. \nAll proceeds are donated to AFLAC Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. \nOne hundred pounds of barbecued pork can be bought by the pound\, by the sandwich\, and hassometimes been offered as part of a $10.00 meal with a bun\, BBQ sauce\, chips\, cookies\, and adrink. Brunswick stew is prepared the day before the sale and is ready to eat or can be frozen forlong periods of time. Prices vary yearly based on local costs \n \nOptimist volunteers set up tables\, a smoker grill\, coolers\, and everything else needed outsideSenoia’s Farmers’ Market entrance at 40 Travis Street. Sales begin after 10:30 a.m. and lastuntil the last customer is satisfied.
