The Senoia Optimist Club presents three $1,500.00 scholarships each year to graduating seniors from both East Coweta High School and Northgate High, both in Sharpsburg, GA.
The Ellen Ingram Memorial Nursing Scholarship was established in 2023-24 in memory of a beloved member who loved the Optimist Club. Ellen Ingram was a nurse for forty years. This award is for a graduating senior at either Northgate or East Coweta who sees nursing, with its many specialties, as a future career.

Scholarship application forms are sent to each high school Guidance Department at the beginning of January and are posted on the school’s scholarship website. Applications must be completed and returned to the Counselors’ Office by the end of March to allow time for evaluation. Scholarships are awarded at each school’s Scholarship Awards Program in late April or early May.
